Rite Aid

Challenge:
ImagePoint is selected to convert 465 Eckerd locations to Rite Aid in the Northeast. The scope of this project included technical surveys of the signs, building and property frontage, branding, individual cost estimates, permitting, removal, patch and paint, installation and closeout. The schedule changed four to six times throughout the project due to FCC requirements and Pharmacy Board issues in various states.
Solution:
The product manufacturing and materials logistics is crucial in situations like Rite Aid's conversion plan. We quickly assembled a conversion team comprised of senior project managers as leads in each market and seasoned project managers to work sites. The team provided daily updates to the customer throughout the process. To closeout the project, the team scheduled "patch & paint" crews to correct surface imperfections from old signage to give storefronts a new look. The conversion required a different set of design specifications for channel letters than new store openings; engineering was expedited to meet plant production deadlines. The team worked with production planners at the plant and our outsource partners to insure production deadlines were met. The team also worked with installers to meet deadlines and to insure that stores were not left dual-branded.
Results
Rite-Aid has commented that they are very pleased with the results of the signage conversion. The program was successfully closed out in 2007.
